While Back to School Month may be dreaded by young students, CJCS members are thrilled to participate in stimulating courses. Members couldn't be more enthusiastic when it comes to learning new skills, honing existing ones and pursuing new interests. We are offering exciting new courses this fall at the centre and across the mini-centres. Registration is starting soon. Mark your calendars!

| REGISTRATION AND MEMBERSHIP |
CJCS encourages the 50+ community to get involved with the centre through exciting programs and services, and special events. The easiest way to benefit from all that the centre has to offer is to become a member.
Membership and wellness registration begin as of Wednesday, August 6 . All other course registration begins Tuesday, August 19 . All course registration requires an updated 2009 membership. Membership fee is $40. Registration can be done in person, by phone, by mail, or online at www.cummingscentre.org .
For the first time, Prime Time West Island and Chomedey Cummings Centre will hold “one-stop shop” registration. Members can now register for courses held at the centre's main building as well as at the Chomedey and West Island campuses at the same time. No need to travel to and from the different locations!
Chomedey Cummings Centre registration will take place on Tuesday, August 19 9:30-noon and 6:30-8 p.m. at the Young Israel of Chomedey at 1025 Elizabeth Blvd. Prime Time registration will take place on Wednesday August 20 and Thursday August 21 1-9 p.m. at 96 Roger Pilon, corner Westpark, D.D.O. Prime Time and Chomedey Cummings Centre courses require a 2009 membership fee which is $20.

MEDIA AND YOU LECTURE SERIES
Chomedey Cummings Centre is thrilled to announce the launch of its new Mini Media lecture series. Join well known media personalities: Andrew Carter (CJAD radio), Tarah Schwartz (CTV television), Josh Freed (The Gazette), and Frank Cavallero (CBC) in stimulating discussions on how the media affect our lives.
Series fee: $40 for members, and $50 for non-members.
Individual Session fee: $12 for members, and $15 for non-members.

PROJECT HAVERIM
Cercle Sépharade is thrilled to announce the launch of its Project Haverim program in Laval .
Coordinated by Catherine Pinto Tordjman, in collaboration with Claude Elbaz , the Haverim project offers Laval 's Sephardic community exciting programs in computers, dance, and physical activity and offers important services. Enjoyable outings are also planned for the summer, to promote cultural learning in a social environment. Project Haverim is reaching out to Laval synagogues for involvement, and a volunteer committee will be developed.
