At CJCS, we believe it is essential to assist our research colleagues in their endeavours to implement studies which will benefit the quality of life of older adults. We welcome requests for participation in new and ongoing research projects. We also generate our own grant-funded research activities often in partnership with local universities and organizations within the health and social services sector. Our areas of research interest are varied. Some projects with which we have been involved include the following:

• Dance programs for seniors with Parkinson's Disease

• nutrition and homebound seniors

• medication mismanagement

• adapted exercise and art programs for seniors with neuromuscular disorders

• advocacy and volunteers

• Holocaust Survivors

Prior to approving the participation of CJCS in any research related activity, we require detailed information about the project to be undertaken, the investigator(s) involved and a copy of ethics committee approval as appropriate. Please note that the Cummings Jewish Centre for Seniors must be identified in all publications and presentations of research/projects involving our Agency.
